"May loving-kindness, wisdom and peace prevail"

Kagyu Thegchen Ling is a center of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. Founded in 1974 by His Eminence Dorje Chang Kalu Rinpoche (1905-1989), renowned meditation master of the Shangpa and Karma Kagyu traditions, KTL was one of the early dharma centers established in the West by him and has served the Hawaii community and practitioners from afar for almost to 50 years.

KTL is part of an international network of Shangpa Kagyu dharma centers, retreat centers, and monasteries currently led by Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche, head of the Shangpa Kagyu lineage. Born in 1990, he was recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the 12th Kenting Tai Situ Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the previous Kyabje Kalu Rinpoche.

Daily visiting hours are: 9-11 a.m. and 2-4:30 p.m.

Everything is in you, in your heart.
Buddha is in your heart. Enlightenment is in your heart.
All qualities are in your heart.
They are not found anywhere else.
